Very few people actually understand my role in the resource sector. Lots of people think I am just a guy who runs a mining website and writes about companies now and again. Actually behind the scenes I am far more active, and verbal than readers realize. You can talk to anyone who has ever worked with me and they will tell you that they may not agree with me but they always know where I stand. I do a lot of communicating behind the scenes and most often my advice is good. Sometime people even listen to me.

I had a long heart to heart talk with Quinton before he announced the first drill results from the Omu Sinter Gold Project in Northern Japan. Irving has drilled two holes and is on the third hole now. I told Quinton in a Mano-a-Mano talk between us that if he hit a home run on the very first hole I not only would never talk to him again, I’d drop him from my Christmas card list.

That was a bit of a hollow threat. I don’t actually have a Christmas card list. If he just thought about it he might realize that as much as I like him, I have never sent him a Christmas card anyway. But I might have this year if he listened to me and I bothered sending out Christmas cards.

Hole one didn’t look like much and while I’m sure it’s in for assay, it almost certainly was not a home run. No doubt there will be some sniffs. We will have to wait to see.

Quinton took our talk to heart and didn’t announce a homer until the 2nd hole at the Omu Sinter.

That short interval is a lot higher than Hishikari grade. Over a two-meter mining width it would be near Hishikari value. Bear in mind that the drill program has barely started. Quinton has already proved the sinter covers high-grade gold and silver. There will be many more similar intercepts and some day the retail trade will get it.

To give my readers a sense of perspective, the discovery hole at Hishikari was 15 cm at 280 grams. I said a couple of years ago that I believed this would be better than Hishikari. I’ll stick with that. Akiko has put together a winning team and there will be a big payoff.

Irving is fully cashed up. They have a wonderful partner in Newmont and the services of one of the top geologists in the world. Take my word folks, the ore is there and this is going to be a mine. A very big and valuable mine. You don’t hit holes like that by accident. This is the real deal.

I have participated in several PPs for Irving and bought shares in the open market. I have visited the project and seen what they have, I am totally biased. Irving is my biggest position for now. Do your own due diligence.
