Dear Friends,

Most of you know me as a free market - Jeffersonian Classical Liberal. This is defined as someone who is for individual liberty, a strong defense, helping ones fellow man, racial and religious tolerance, peace, low taxes, property rights, much less government, and always helping your fellow man whether by donations or honest policy.

A good friend of mine for almost 30 years is Presidential candidate Congressman Ron Paul from Texas. He is a great person. I use to fly down to Houston on occasions around election time and do radio shows and always endorsed him. He really didn't need much help as was so popular in his district because he was so honest and so sane on all issues. When I was Chairman of the American Economic Council (1979-1984), Ron Paul was the only member of the House or Senate that scored a 100 out of 100 on our rating system. We rated everyone in Congress on integrity and honesty. It was a brutal rating system where most so-called liberals and conservatives were exposed and most scored in the 30-40 range. It was a sickening experience to see how bad the men and woman who were running this country really were. It was amazing how many liberals were voting for hand outs to corporations and how many conservatives were voting for increasing the welfare bureaucracy and increasing government spending. It was like they did many things opposite to what they espoused to their constituents.

He already has raised more money in the last two months than 5 of the other candidates. He is a Republican member of Congress but he always votes based on classical liberal ideals. Most people if they hear Ron will want to vote for him because these ideas are true and logical.

Please take 5 minutes and be inspired by someone who is totally different from any candidate on the Republican side or the Democratic side.

If nothing else you will be shocked to find some of your favorite liberal or conservative newscasters genuinely impressed with Ron.

His ideals all have the sound economic and pro-liberty policies from the "conservative side" and all the humanism, benevolence and social caring policies of the "liberal side." Hard to believe that this is possible but it is.

Liberty and Benevolence can work together and did so for over a century in the United States during the 1800's. Liberals want to help the poor and the downtrodden - certainly nothing wrong with this humanistic ideal. But they are conned into thinking that big government must be the answer and higher taxes. This is an example where their ideals are pure and good but the solution they have chosen is totally false and bad.

Conservatives want more liberty, lower taxes and less government - wonderful ideals. But liberals look at the war mongers in the conservative ranks and think the entire conservative thinking is bad and evil.

Nothing is perfect in this world. No one set of ideals is going to handle all the misconceptions and falsehoods that are out there in politics. But if you can eliminate many of the lies and confusions then the world would be a wonderful place until spiritually the human race moves up a few notches to a higher and saner level. But that will take a lot of time.

Ron Paul can win this election. He is the only candidate that is not robotically saying the same old thing. He has raised a huge campaign war chest and is shocking the establishment media.

If you ever said to yourself that you are sort of conservative on some issues and sort of liberal on some other issues then you are someone who believes in the tradition of the great classical liberal movement which made the world a better place in the 18th and 19th century. This movement has been destroyed by lies and deceits of unethical politicians and big business looking for bailouts, uninformed educators, elitists, social engineers that want to run our lives, and journalists who don't get it.

Ron Paul will bring a fresh set of ideas to the country. It is our country and it is being steered in a direction that is disastrous. Ask any liberal, "How do you think you are doing politically in this country?" He/she will laugh at you and say "we are being killed by the rotten conservatives they are winning on all fronts". Ask any Conservative the same question. They will say "Are you kidding, the rotten liberals are killing us at every turn."

If the liberals are losing and the conservatives are losing, then who is winning?
